Accuniq BC720

The ACCUNIQ BC720 is a high quality body composition analyser capable of phase angle measurements, extracellular water ratio analysis and body composition analysis by body part using 6 frequencies.

Features :

  • Identify health problems by assessing water - You can test extracellular and intracellular water in detail, and collect and manage measurement results.
  • Analysis of abdominal obesity in different subjects - Visceral fat and subcutaneous fat mass can be examined, and the abdominal obesity predictive value can predict the abdominal obesity of the subject by 5 years of age, together with the rate of change of basal metabolic rate.
  • Check cell membrane health using phase angle - This shows the phase angle, which is an indicator of cell health and cell membrane integrity.
  • Detailed result value for each part - You can check in detail the fat mass, muscle mass, body water, internal water, external water and extracellular water ratio for each body part.
  • Link to automatic electronic blood pressure monitor - You can monitor your blood pressure in relation to obesity and body composition by connecting to our automatic electronic blood pressure monitor. You can efficiently manage your body composition and blood pressure measurements on one scorecard.

Provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

You can enter participant information and set up products using the touch screen and convenient keypad.
Once the body composition measurements are complete, you can check the detailed measurement results on the 8.4" touchscreen on the front.
The results page can be printed using a compatible printer.

Take measurements in a comfortable position

It is constructed using a cable connection method between the main body and the hand electrodes.
so that everyone from a child to a 210 cm adult can comfortably take measurements with their arms spread wide.

Data management programme

With ACCUNIQ Manager, you can systematically analyse and manage participant measurement data on your computer.

Provides body water assessment

It provides values for the body water, intracellular water, extracellular water ratio for each body part on separate score sheets to assess the body's water balance. Approximately 50-60% of the human body consists of water, which is further divided into intracellular water (approximately 2/3) and extracellular water (approximately 1/3). When assessing body water, it is important to determine the degree of water balance using the extracellular water ratio (extracellular water/total body water) rather than water content alone. If body water is imbalanced, oedema may be suspected.

The ACCUNIQ BC720 measures extracellular water at low frequencies and total body water at high frequencies, allowing the assessment of intracellular and extracellular water throughout the human body.

Provide phase angle data for each part

Phase angle is an indicator related to the health and nutritional value of the cell membrane. The phase angle increases when the cell is structurally and functionally healthy and decreases when it is not. Using the numerical value of the phase angle, the overall health of the cell, the diet and the body can be understood and used as a predictor of metabolic diseases, including cancer and various serious diseases.

As the ACCUNIQ BC720 provides phase angle data for each part of the body as well as whole body phase angle, it is possible to assess the cellular health status of each part of the body.

The phase angle denotes the phase difference resulting from the time difference between the voltage and current waveforms, and the phase angle BCA is the sum of the impedance (R) and reactance (Xc) vectors. The ACCUNIQ BC720 calculates the phase angle using the electronically generated phase difference in the AC current.

If the cells are healthy, the reactance is high, so the phase angle is measured as high. In the case of damaged cells, on the other hand, the phase angle is measured as low.

Precautions during measurement

  • Timed measurement - Measure before or 3 hours after a meal. For periodic measurements, always measure under the same conditions (same clothing, same time zone, empty stomach, before exercise, etc.) to accurately measure body changes.
  • Measure at room temperature (20~25℃) - Our body is most stable at room temperature, and if the temperature is too high or too low, it may affect the test result. Outdoor measurements in winter can cause high body fat percentage.
  • Avoid measurements after a lot of sweating - If measurements are taken after sweating, either due to climatic conditions or the environment, temporary changes in body water may be reflected in the results and may result in inaccurate results. Measure before exercise. During exercise, sweat and increased body temperature may cause temporary changes in body composition.
  • Take measurements before bathing - Saunas and hot baths cause the body to become waterlogged and this results in changes in the amount of water in the body that affect the results.
  • Avoid measurements after drinking large amounts of fluid - Bioelectrical impedance analysis does not accurately measure the amount of water in the gut, so most of the fluid you drink may be measured as fat.
  • Take measurements on an empty stomach before meals - Bioelectrical impedance analysis cannot accurately measure food in the gut, so it is recommended to take measurements before meals. If it is not possible to perform the procedure before a meal, measure 2 - 3 hours after a meal.
  • Take the measurement with light clothing - To improve the accuracy of the results, take the measurement after determining the weight of the clothing, in the environmental settings of the device.
  • Measure after standing for 5 minutes - If you suddenly change your position from sitting to standing, water may run down your lower body and affect the measurement.
  • Maintain correct measuring posture - Place the electrodes in the same position to the left and right and stand at attention, extending your arms at an angle of about 45° so that your arms do not touch your armpits during measurement.
  • Do not talk or move during the measurement - Body movement and talking while the analyser is running may affect the result.
  • Keep the electrodes clean - Foreign objects on the electrodes during measurement can cause measurement errors, so always keep them clean.
